Fasting is a spiritual discipline that helps us focus on prayer, deepen our dependence on God, and align our hearts with His will. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions to guide you through our fasting period.
What time does the fast start and end?
The fast begins at 12:00 midnight and ends at 6:00 PM each day.
When are the prayer times?
We will be gathering for prayer at the following times:
6:00 AM – LIVE on our YouTube Channel
1:00 PM – LIVE on the Taking Your Marketplace Instagram profile (@tymarketplace)
6:00 PM – LIVE on Pastor Eddie's personal Instagram profile (@eddieiduoze)
We encourage you to join ALL the prayer meetings.
What type of fast are we observing?
This is a food fast. You are encouraged to abstain from food during the fasting hours while remaining prayerful and spiritually focused.
Can I drink water during the fast?
Yes. You may drink water only, either hot or cold, throughout the fasting period.
Should I fast if I am pregnant?
No. Pregnant women are advised not to fast.
What if I am on medication?
If you are currently on medication, please seek advice from your doctor before participating in the fast.
How should I break my fast?
When the fast ends, it is recommended that you start with something light before returning to regular meals.
Can I take my regular vitamins or medication while fasting?
Yes. Regular vitamins or prescribed medication may be taken with water.
